M.K. Stalin
M.K. Stalin (born 1953) was the mayor of Chennai, India, from 1996 to 2002. He is the son of M. Karunanidhi. He was born around the time Joseph Stalin died and was named after him.
Although he was reelected mayor in October 2001, Stalin, who was also a member of the Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu, had to resign in June 2002 after the Assembly passed a "one-man, one-post" law barring legislators from also holding important elective posts in local bodies.
