M.T. Vasudevan Nair
MT Vasudevan Nair, popularly known as MT, is a Malayalam writer and noted film personality. He was born born on August 15, 1934 in Kudallur, a small village in Palakkad district, Kerala. He is considered to be the most prolific and versatile of modern malayalam writers.
MT was awarded the highest literary award the Jnanpith in 1995.Prior to that, he had received many awards like both state and center Sahitya Academy Awards . His oeuvre consists of novels, short-stories, film scripts and a couple of non-fiction works on literary themes.
Major works are Nalukettu, Kaalam, Asuravithu, Manju, Randamoozham, Vilapayathra, Arabipponnu (written with N.P. Muhammed), Pathiravum Pakal, Velichavum are his novels.
