MODOK

MODOK is a supervillain in the Marvel Universe. His name is an acronym for Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing.

History

MODOK first appeared in Tales of Suspense #94 in October, 1967 illustrated by Jack Kirby and featuring MODOK and Advanced Idea Mechanics battling Captain America. MODOK was created by AIM for the purpose of leading their organization to world-wide domination. Typically though, his intelligence lead him to question why he should serve AIM instead of bending them to his own will and purposes. Though MODOK has fought many Marvel Comics heroes, including the Incredible Hulk, he is primarily a foe for Captain America and the Avengers.

Power & Abilities

MODOK has a highly developed brain and has created highly advanced equipment/weapons. He focuses his thoughts into a mind-beam, a highly concussive energy beam and is also able to hypnotize/mentally control a large number of people at one time. He is always going through mental calcuations about different probabilities of various situations for occurring. Given the large size of his head, he moves by a thought controlled magnetic powered mobile chair and at least one time used a giant humanoid shaped fighting vehicle that was proportionally sized to his head.
