Mae Young
Mae Young (born March 12, 1919), is a former professional wrestler who is a native of Sands Springs, Oklahoma .
Wrestling career
Mae Young was one of the most recognizable female wrestlers during the 1930s and 1940s. She became a professional wrestler in 1933. She fought under the nicknames of "The Queen" and "The Great Mae Young", but she used her real name for most of her fights.
Young had multiple achievements during her wrestling career. She won the NWA's Florida women's title once, and she was a women's United States champion twice.
At the age of 77, she was named the WWE's "Miss Royal Rumble". That same year, (2000), she became the manager of her lifelong friend, fellow wrestler The Fabulous Moolah.
After "The Fabulous Moolah" officially retired from wrestling, the pair continued their friendship.
2004 was one of the busiest years in Young's life: She and "Moolah" were invited to tour, as guests of honor, with the WWE's modern stars as part of that organization's fiftieth anniversary. Young and Moolah joined many other former wrestlers on that particular tour. 2004 was also the year in which she was inducted into the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame.
In one of the most bizarre angles, Young gave birth to a human hand in the middle of the ring.
