Mainichi Broadcasting System
Mainichi Broadcasting System, Inc. (abbreviation: MBS, Japanese: 株式会社毎日放送, Kabushiki-gaisha-Mainichi-hōsō) is a Japanese radio station and TV station in Osaka. It broadcasts many TV programs and many radio programs. It is a network radio station of Japan Radio Network (JRN) and National Radio Network (NRN), and a network TV station of Japan News Network (JNN). It is also one of the main stockholders of TBS, TV Tokyo, and RKB Mainichi Broadcasting Corporation .

History of MBS
In 1951, "New Japan Broadcasting System, Inc. (NJB, 新日本放送株式会社, Shin-Nippon-hōsō-kabushiki-gaisha, former company name of MBS)" started Japanese second commercial radio broadcasting. In 1956, it founded "Osaka Television Company" (大阪テレビ放送株式会社, OTV) with Asahi Broadcasting Corporation. In 1958, NJB was renamed "Mainichi Broadcasting System, Inc.". On March 1, 1959, it started a TV broadcasting, and made a network with NET (Present: TV Asahi). In 1960, the broadcasting studio completed in Senri. Four years later, MBS made a radio network with TBS and RKB . In 1970, MBS joined a news network called All-Nippon News Network (ANN). On March 31, 1975, MBS changed to a news network called Japan News Network (JNN). On November 23, 1978, the frequency of MBS Radio changed from 1210 kHz to 1179 kHz. In 1990, the new office and new broadcasting studio completed at Chayamachi in Osaka, the main office moved from former Osaka Main Office of the Mainichi Shimbun, and the broadcasting studio moved from Senri. On March 31, 2001, the studio completed called "MBS Studio in USJ" at Universal Studios Japan . On December 1, 2003, digital TV broadcasting started.
