María Badía
María Badía i Cutchet (born on 13 May 1947 in St. Quirze del Vallès (Barcelona)) is a Spanish politician and Member of the European Parliament for the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party, part of the Socialist Group and sits on the European Parliament's Committee on Culture and Education .
She is a substitute for the Committee on Budgets , a member of the Delegation for relations with Japan and a substitute for the Delegation for relations with South Africa.

- 1975: Member of Convergència Democrática de Catalunya
Career
- 1985-1994: Coordinator, First PSC-PSOE Secretariat
- 1994-1996: PSOE International Relations Coordinator
- 1996-1999: Head of the secretariat of the Bureau of the Parliament of Catalonia
- 2004: Elected PSC Secretary for European and International Policy in June 2000 and re-elected in July
