Marc Emery
Marc Emery is a Canadian cannabis advocate. He was a publisher for Cannabis Culture. He also ran for mayor of the city of Vancouver twice, and recently came in 5th. He is a retailer of seeds.
He was an active member the Marijuana Party of Canada, a political party running to fully legalize (not just decriminalize) marijuana, and later helped found the British Columbia Marijuana Party of which he is now president. The BCMP placed 5th in the 2001 election and was only a few hundred votes short of 4th place. His strong advocacy has caused the media to call him "The Prince of Pot".
On October 18, 2004, he was released from a correctional center in Saskatoon after serving his 90 day sentence for passing a Marijuana joint.
