Marcus Aemilius Lepidus (187 BC)
Marcus Aemilius Lepidus (187 BC-153 BC) was a Roman consul, Pontifex Maximus and censor.
He oversaw construction of the Via Aemilia, a Roman Road in the north of Italy from the town of Piacenza to Rimini. He also gave his name to the Roman castrum of Regium Lepidi (today Reggio Emilia) and to the Basilica Aemilia in Rome
