Marian Smoluchowski
Marian Smoluchowski (born 28 may 1872 in Vorderbrühl , Austria - 5 September 1917 in Kraków, Poland) was a Polish physicist.
Smoluchowski described Brownian motion, worked on the kinetic theory at the same time as Albert Einstein. In his work, he presented an equation which became the basis of the theory of stochastic processes.
