Marie-Louise Berneri
Marie Louise Berneri (March 1, 1918 - April 13, 1949) was an anarchist activist and author. Involved with short lived "Revision," with Luis Mercier Vega .
Her father Camillo Berneri , was assassinated in Spain in 1937 by the communists. She Married Vernon Richards, also an active anarchist with many of the same groups and publications as she.
She was a member of the group that edited "Revolt," "War Commentary", and the still publishing "Freedom newspaper", issued by the Freedom Bookstore. She also wrote Journey Through Utopia and Neither East Nor West.
Marie Berneri died, along with her baby, during childbirth, April 13th, 1949 at the age of 31.
George Woodcock & Ivan Avacumovic dedicated their biography of Peter Kropotkin, The Anarchist Prince (1950) to Marie-Louise Berneri, "a true disciple of Kropotkin."
