Mark Pryor

Mark Lunsford Pryor (born January 10, 1963) is a politician in Arkansas.

As of 2004 he is currently a Democratic Senator for the state of Arkansas, having defeated incumbent Republican Tim Hutchinson in 2002. He was the only Democrat to defeat a Republican incumbent in that election cycle. Before the election, he was the state Attorney General since 1999. He was a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in 2000. Also, he was a member of the Arkansas House of Representatives from 1991-1994. He is the son of former Senator and governor David H. Pryor. He has been referred to as a "Great Kid" by Dick Trammel , known as Mr. Rogers, Arkansas around the the state.
