Martin Ebbertz

Martin Ebbertz (born in 1962), a German writer of children's books, was born in Aachen, Germany. He is best known for his work Little Mr. Jaromir (Der kleine Herr Jaromir).

Martin Ebbertz, born 1962 in Aachen, grown up in Pruem (Eifel), studied in Freiburg, Munster and Frankfurt (Germanistik, philosophy, history). Besides activity as flea market dealer and a second hand bookseller.

1992 appeared the first children's book (Josef, der zu den Indianern will - How Joseph went to join the Indians). Live and work as free writer first in Frankfurt/Main, then five years in Thessaloniki (Greece). Since spring 2000 Martin Ebbertz lives with his wife and two children in Boppard on the Rhine.

Each time Mr. Jaromir gets into the lift, he jumps so highly he can and presses a button. He usually reaches the fourth floor and walks up the last two flights.
