Martin Spanjers

Martin Ryan Spanjers is an American actor who was born on February 2, 1987 in Tucson, Arizona. He is best known for his role as the son, Rory Joseph Hennessy, in ABC television sitcom 8 Simple Rules.

At the age of seven he started acting in a theater production of Peter Pan. He went on to do many different theater productions after that. He got a recurring role in 1998 on the Olsen Twins' sitcom Two of a Kind. Spanjers landed his first starring role on TV in Daddio where he played the oldest son Max. His biggest role came in 2002 when he landed the part of Rory on 8 Simple Rules.

Spanjers auditioned for the staring role of Malcolm in Malcolm in the Middle, almost getting it, but did get a guest spot in the show's pilot episode. He made guest appearances in many other TV shows as well. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
