Master-D

Master-D is the main villain and final boss in the NES game Bionic Commando.

He is actually Adolf Hitler, who has been ressurected in laboratories by surviving Nazi forces. His name has been changed to "Master-D" in the American version of the game. When defeated his death is depicted quite graphically, remarkable considering the restrictions [[1]] on "adult" content in Nintendo games at that time.

Methods of Attack

  • Albatros: A huge robotic war machine [2]. Master-D launches it after his ressurection. The Albatros' outside shell is covered with flamethrowers. The only way to defeat it is to aim its main reactor located near the top.
  • Helicopter: Master-D escapes into a helicopter that is equipped with a machine gun. Radd, the hero, has only one chance to fire his Hyper Bazooka on the cockpit and destroy Master-D before he gets shot.

Memorable quotes

  • "You woke me from a long sleep. Now, I have no more use for you. I'll take over your army and rule the world."
  • "What, you're going to fight against me? You damn fool. If that's what you want, I'll show you the horror of the Albatros!"
