Matthew Moore

Matthew Moore (January 8, 1888January 20, 1960) was born in Fordstown Crossroads , County Meath, Ireland. He and his brothers Tom and Owen emigrated to America and all went on to Hollywood, California and to successful careers in motion pictures.


Once his brothers had made a name for themselves in the motion picture business, Matt Moore made his first movie in 1913 and continued to act in film regularly up to the time of his death.

Matt Moore died in Hollywood and was interred in the Calvary Cemetery in East Los Angeles.

He has a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6301 Hollywood Blvd.
