Melanie Blatt
Melanie Blatt born 25 March 1975 is a part French UK female solo singer who first made her name as part of the top UK girl group All Saints. She has a daughter, Lily Ella and she is married to Stuart Zender, the former bassist of Jamiroquai.
Her attempts at chart solo success have been odd- her first try, "24/7" with The Artful Dodger in September 2001 was the most successful, peaking at #6. Her next single, a collaboration with Outsidaz and Rah Digga on "I'm Leavin", only went in at #42 in March 2002. Her debut solo single, "Do Me Wrong", entered at #18 in September 2003.
However, she has tried out acting playing 'Phillipa' in London's Burning in 2001. She has been recording her new album with Matt Hale from Aqualung, and she has recorded the song "See Me" which is due for release in April 2005 and is taken from the soundtrack to new animated movie "Robots".
She is not to be confused with the similarly named Melanie Brown of the Spice Girls.
