Melbourne Knights
Melbourne Knights SC is a football club from Melbourne, Australia established by Croatian immigrants to the area. The team was formed as Melbourne Croatia SC in 1953. In 1996, the club was renamed to Melbourne Knights as way of becoming a more mainstream soccer force, and due to the National Soccer League' new rules. In 1995 and 1996 the club was champion of the NSL. The Melbourne Knights are currently in the Victorian Premier League with the dissolution of the NSL.
The club is a regular participant in the Australian-Croatian Soccer Tournament . The team's accomplishments can be likened to that of Canada's Toronto Croatia.
