Melissa Duck

Melissa Duck is a character on the animated television series, Baby Looney Tunes voiced by Janyse Jaud and Carrie Savage .

Melissa is a comedian and enjoys making her friends laugh. However, her humor sometimes gets her in trouble when she crosses the line.

Though many fans suspect that Melissa was invented for Baby Looney Tunes much in the same manner the character of Skeeter was invented for Muppet Babies — a result of the creators wanting more female characters. This, however, is not true. Melissa actually appeared in two Looney Tunes shorts as Daffy Duck's girlfriend — namely "The Scarlet Pumpernickel" and "Muscle Tussle."

Melissa is also the inspiration for the Shirley the Loon character on "Tiny Toons." Both are female waterfowl with a romantic interest in the Daffy Duck/Plucky Duck character.
