Message Driven Bean

A Message Driven Bean (MDB) is an Enterprise Java Bean (EJB) similar to a session bean, except it responds to a JMS message rather than an RMI event. MDBs were introduced in the EJB 2.0 specification which is supported by Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition 1.3 or higher.
