He first appeared when VenomMyotismon terrorized Tokyo. Angemon and Angewomon shot Taichi & Yamato with their arrows of hope and light. When Yamato was shot, Gabumon warp digivolved to MetalGarurumon.

MetalGarurumon in Digimon: XEvolution

He one of few X-Digimon fighting the Royal Knights, he sacrficed himself to save DORUmon & Tokomon from Omnimon, giving Tokomon his X-Antibody to X-Evolve. But it turned out MetalGarurumon survived & helped the others fight the legion of Death-X Dorugremon
