Metallics (Pokémon)
Metallics is a shorthand name given to the second era of the Pokémon video games, which include Pokémon Gold, Silver and Crystal.
The metallic era improved upon the chromatic era set by adding another land with eight more Gym Leaders, 100 new Pokémon, the new Steel and Dark types, color, and many new moves. The Special statistic from chromatics was also split into Special Attack and Special Defense.
Pokémon Stadium 2 is the corresponding Nintendo 64 game, which allows all 251 monsters known at that date to battle in 3D.
