Michael Barnes (Canadian author)
Michael Barnes is a Canadian writer who is an authority on the history and folklore of Northern Ontario.
Born in England, he came to Canada in 1956. He received a B.A. from the University of Western Ontario in 1964 and an M.Ed. from the University of Toronto in 1971.
In 1994 he was made a Member of the Order of Canada.
