Michael Bridges
Michael Bridges (born in Whitley Bay, 5 August 1978) is a football centre-forward whose career has been severely blighted by injuries.
A precocious teenage talent for Sunderland A.F.C., Bridges made a £6 million move to Leeds United in 1999, after an alleged fall out with the then Sunderland Manager Peter Reid. He was initially successful at Leeds and was touted for a place in the England squad, before injuries took over. In 2004 he returned to Sunderland, where he hopes to put his miserable recent years behind him.
