Michael Doyle
Michael Doyle (1948- Present) is an international relations scholar whose most influential work is "Empires," an analysis of imperialism. In this work, he differentiates between different forms of empire and also provides case studies of historical empires, including the Roman Empire, British Empire, Ottoman Empire, and Egyptian empire .
Doyle is currently a Professor of Politics and International Affairs at Columbia University.
He attended Harvard University, receiving an AB, MA, and PhD in Political Science.
