Dr. Michael Walker is a British teacher, presently the headmaster of King Edward VI Grammar School (KEGS), a selective school in Chelmsford.

Dr. Walker joined the staff of KEGS in 1989, in the history department, and quickly took on head of year and head of sixth form responsibilities.

Under his leadership, the school has continued to do exceptionally well in a range of academic, sporting, and other extra-curricular activities, often out-performing other selective schools in public examinations, and being named as the Sunday Times School of the Year in 2001.

Dr. Walker himself is a member of several national bodies of advanced headteachers working with the British Department of Education, and was named an "Outstanding Head" after the school's successful 2001 OFSTED inspection.

Dr. Walker had previously taught at Gresham's School .
