Mission to Mars

Mission to Mars is a 2000 U.S. made movie directed by Brian de Palma. It is a science fiction thriller adventure about a rescue mission of the first manned mission to Mars, which encountered a catastrophic and mysterious disaster. The goal of the mission is to investigate the tragedy and bring back any survivors. When they arrive to the red planet, they find Luc, the captain of the first team, still alive. He tells the rescuers that upon setting foot on the red planet, his team had discovered an ancient dome-like structure which appears to be a human-like face. Somehow, the dome destroys the team and leaves him injured but alive. He spent the time alone learning the secrets of the mysterious structure.

Together, they solve the last parts of the puzzle and are able to enter the dome, which eventually shows them a holographic history of the aliens that built the dome, who are humankind ancestors.

It has a runtime of 113 minutes, uses Technicolor and DTS-Dolby EX 6.1-SDDS Sound.
