Moelv
Moelv is the municipality of Ringsaker's second largest center. After the European route E6 turned around Moelv in the early 1990s instead of going straight through, the town enjoys the lazy small-town contryside living. Situated at the shores of lake Mjøsa, the town is bordered by green hills of wooden character and farmland. Home to some few thousand souls, the town consists of a few shopping centers, a railway station and some pubs and restaurants. Some small-scale production is still running, although much of the traditional industry has moved out of town, to the pace of globalization.
Ever since the stone-age, Moelv and its surrounding districts has been home to human societies. Carvings in stone has been found, dating thousands of years back.
