Mokotow (pol. Mokotów) is one of the boroughs of Warsaw, the capital of Poland.

The borough is densely populated. It is a seat to many foreign embassies and companies. Only a small part of the district is lightly industrialized (Służewiec Przemysłowy), while the majority is full of parks and green areas.

Although the area has been populated at least since the early Middle Ages, it was not until early 1916 when Mokotów was incorporated into Warsaw. The name of the area comes from the name of an earlier village Mon Coteau (French for My Village). Most of the area was urbanized in late 1920s and 1930s. The area survived World War II and the events of the Warsaw Uprising quite well and is one of the few well-preserved areas of Warsaw nowadays.
