Moscow Does Not Believe In Tears
Москва Слезам Не Верит (Moscow Does Not Believe In Tears, Moskva slezam ne verit) is a 1979 Russian film made by Mosfilm. It was writen by Valentin Chernykh and directed by Vladimir Menshov .
It won an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 1981, and was chosen to participate in the International Film Exchange .
Plot
The movie is about the contrast in the lives of three women who became friends through living together in a student dormitory. The movie spans about 20 years—from the women's youth to their middle age. The movie deals with many social and moral issues.
