Mount Cheaha
Mount Cheaha is the highest point in Alabama, at 2407 feet or 734 meters above mean sea level. Cheaha is a Creek Indian word that means "high place". Mount Cheaha is located within Talladega National Forest and is protected by Cheaha State Park . It has the Alabama Public Television (APT) transmitter and antenna for WCIQ -TV (channel 7) at its summit.
