Muttaburra, Queensland
Muttaburra is a small town located in central western Queensland, Australia. The town is located on the banks of the Thomson River, approximately 120 kilometres north of the town of Longreach. Muttaburra is located within the Aramac Shire. The main industry of the area is grazing.
The town is close to the archaeological site where the fossilised remains of the Muttaburrasaurus dinosaur was found. The creature is believed to have been 12 metres long and weighed up to 15 tonnes, and is one of the largest dinosaurs so far discovered in Queensland.
