My Sweet Lord
"My Sweet Lord" was the first number one single by ex-Beatle George Harrison. It topped the charts on both sides of the Atlantic in 1971.
The song is widely regarded as Harrison's most famous solo effort and it was re-released after his death, at which time it also went to #1.
Similarity with the Chiffons' hit "He's So Fine" led to a lengthy lawsuit which was finally settled in 1976 with the payment of large indemnities.
George Harrison later recorded the song "This Song" about the "My Sweet Lord" fiasco.
