N5 road
The N5 road is a National Primary Route in the Republic of Ireland, connecting Dublin with Westport and the west of Ireland. The road diverges from the N4 road from Dublin to Sligo near Longford Town. The N5 passes through Longford, as well as Strokestown and Ballaghaderreen, before crossing the N17 at Charlestown near Knock International Airport. The N26 to Ballina leaves the N5 near Castlebar, the only major settlement on the route between Longford and Westport.
