NRX-0015 Gundam Ashtaron

The Gundam Ashtaron was one of the first new Gundam type mobile suits, built in the After War era of the anime series Gundam X. The Ashtaron, which was piloted by one of the Frost brothers, Olba, was able to transform into a flight-capable mobile armor form. Although it was very heavy, the Ashtaron was equipped with sufficient thrust to fly and maneuver at high speed. In mobile armor mode the Ashtaron was also able to carry Shagia’s NRX-0013 Gundam Virsago on its back. The Ashtaron’s main weapon were a pair of “atomic scissors”, which served not only as grappling/striking melee weapons but were also equipped with beam cannons. With its powerful weapons the Gundam Ashtaron was a strong enemy for the Freeden crew which became even stronger when it was upgraded to the NRX-0015-HC Gundam Ashtaron Hermit Crab.
