Naat

Naat or Naat-Shareef is poetry in praise of the Prophet Muhammad(ALLAH HUMMA SALLA ALLAH MUHMADIN WA ALEY MOHMAD), The last Messenger of God(Allah-Azzoajal) and Prophet of Islam. Muslim holy book Quran by God also praised Prophet Muhammad(Peace be Upon Him) very often. Most of the famous scholars of Islam, including direct followers of Prophet Muhammad did poetry in His praise in the very earliest days of Islam. One of among the followers is Hassan-bin-Sabit was very famous due to his Naat-Poetry, and was mostly appreciated by Prophet Mohammad(Peace be upon him) himself. He also has great respect among Muslims too. Muslims love to listen and sing these religious poetic praise of their beloved Prophet.

Commonly the word Naat-Shreef is reserved and used for the poetry in the praise of the Greatest Prophet of Islam written in Urdu, persian and Arabic.
