Nakagawa Hidenari

Nakagawa Hidenari (中川 秀成; 1570September 9, 1612) was a military commander and daimyo in Azuchi-Momoyama period and Edo period. He is the second son of Nakagawa Kiyohide, and his old brother was Nakagawa Hidemasa.

In 1582, Kiyohide died in the Battle of Shizugatake and Hidemasa succeeded to a house. However, Hidemasa died young in 1592 and Hidenari succeeded to a house and his domain, which was 66,000 koku at Harima Province and served Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Before long, Hideyoshi gave him 74,000 koku at Kunioka, Bungo Province.

In 1597, Hidenari took part in the Battle of Keicho under Todo Takatora .

In 1600 at the Battle of Sekigahara, he defeated Ota Kazuyoshi at Usuki Castle . Because of that, Tokugawa Ieyasu let him rule his domain continuously.
