Naryan-Mar
Naryan-Mar (Нарьян-Мар in Russian; it means "red town" in the Nenets language) is a town and administrative center of Nenetsia in the Arkhangelsk Oblast in Russia. It is a sea port and a river port on the right bank of the Pechora River, 110 km away from the Barents Sea. Population: 17,000 (1973).
Naryan-Mar was founded in 1933 due to construction of industrial plants.
