Nate Ackerman

Nathanael (Nate) Leedom Ackerman (born March 4 1978 in New York City, New York United States) is an Olympic wrestler—taking part in the 2004 Summer Olympics with Team GB. He was educated at the American School in London followed by Harvard University and now the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he is studying for a Ph.D. in mathematics.

He wrestles for the Dave Schultz Wrestling Club , under coach Granit Taropin . He has, as a wrestler, taken part in the 1999, 2001, 2002, and 2003 World Championships—his best result being in the 1999 World Championships where he took 16th place. He has also won the 2002 and 2004 British National Championships.
