National Institute of Engineering

The National Institute of Engineering is one of the premier Engineering institutes of the southern state of Karnataka, and the second oldest in the state. NIE, as it is popularly known, offers Engineering courses in a wide range of engineering fields. Founded in 1946, during the pre independence days, it has a rich ensuing tradition of churning out quality engineers in all conventional engineering fields.

The National Institute of Engineering is located near the Ashokpuram area, and is located on the Manavadi Road next to the Karntaka Silk Factory. The campus consists of two sections including the most recent Golden Jubilee Building.
