Nea Smyrni or Nea Smirni (Greek: Νέα Σμύρνη, literally New Smyrna) is a suburb in the southwestern part of Athens, Greece. Nea Smyrni is located about 5 km SW of downtown Athens, about 5 km SW of Kifissias Avenue, W of Vouliagmenis Avenue, about 6 km E of Piraeus, and NE of Poseidonos Avenue.

The area was made up of farmlands and some forests dominated the area. The area was of mixed farming which included pastures, vegetables and groves. Forests were to the east. In 1922, a number of refugees mainly from Smyrna, the today's Izmir arrived and lived in the southwestern part of Athens and became Nea Smyrni. Much of the areas including the soccer team moved here from Smyrna. It transformed into an urban area after that.

The area is mainly made up of urban areas with a few business areas mainly within the Syngrou Avenue. The main streets are two of them which since 1995 are now linked with interchanges and the roas linking with Hymittos Street and Syngrou Avenue to the north. The speed limit on Andreas Syngrou avenue is 70 to 80 km/h. The Athens Industrial Area is to the north.

Nea Smyrni has schools, lyceums, gymnasia, banks, post offices and squares (plateies).
