The New Zealand Bellbird (Anthornis melanura) is a bird of greenish colouration that is endemic to New Zealand. It is the only surviving member of the genus Anthornis (Gray, 1840).
It is known to the Maori as "Korimako". It has a very distinctive song which can often be confused with the tui.
There are four sub-species:
Anthornis melanura melanura
Anthornis melanura dumerii
Anthornis melanura oneho
Anthornis melanura obscura
