Nicholas De Mayer


Nicholaes DeMayer was born circa 1635 Hamborg, Holland. Died: 1691 New Amsterdam

Became the 7th mayor in 1676-77

Married 1st: Lydia Van Dyck (daughter of Hendrick Van Dyck = Started the PEACH WAR when he shot an Indian woman picking peaches on his property. See PEACH WAR. Nicholas also participated in this war.

Married 2nd: Sarah Kellnar.
