Nichrome
Nichrome is an alloy of nickel and chromium. Typically, the alloy is 80% nickel and 20% chromium. It is silvery-grey in colour, and has a high melting point of about 1800 °C, making it useful in heating elements, such as in hair dryers and toasters. The alloy tends to be expensive due to its high chromium content. when 1.5 or more volts is run through it it turnes red hot like a toaster
