NickToons

(Redirected from Nicktoon)

NickToons, also known as NickToons TV, is a digital cable and satellite television network. It is a sister service of the Nickelodeon cable channel with its commercial-free format. Its original programming consists entirely of animated cartoons previously or currently broadcasted on its parent network. It was launched on May 1, 2002, which was first only available on digital cable until early 2004, when it began its broadcast on satellite television as well.

In February 2005, Nickelodeon announced that NickToons would become ad-supported (basically meaning, commercials will begin airing on the network), in August of 2005. They also announced that three new original series would begin airing on NickToons in early 2006.[1]
