"Nightswimming" is a song by the band R.E.M.. It appears on their 1992 album Automatic for the People and was released as a single in 1993. Released in the UK on CD and 12" vinyl record, the single charted relatively poorly, reaching only #27 in the UK singles chart.
The lyrics were written by Mike Mills before the release of 1991's Out of Time but the music wasn't added in time for release on that album. The song is about skinny dipping.
