No. 85 Expeditionary Logistics Wing RAF
No. 85 Expeditionary Logistics Wing, RAF is based at RAF Stafford, England. It is made up of several ground transport and logistics handling squadrons, whose role is to establish air and sea ports of disemarkation and the associated supply chain all the way to the front line squadrons.
The wing played a major role in the RAF deployment in the run-up to and during Operation Telic.
Currently based at Stafford, the Wing is due to move to RAF Wittering as part of a reorganistion of the Air Combat Service Support units of the RAF.
