History
Previously known as Suppuration , Nokturnal Mortum gained their first Western recognition with the release of their album Goat Horns, their second full length album, notable for having two keyboardists play on the album, oftentimes on the same song. After refusing a license to the Nuclear Blast label, the band recorded a cover version of Burzum's My journey to the stars in the tribute album Visions-A Tribute to Burzum. Their desire was to remain underground, accusing Nuclear Blast of commercialism. They are associated with the National Socialist Black Metal movement, with is explicit sometimes in their covers (see NeChrist one for example), their lyrics, interviews, shows and in their webpage. In 2002, Varggoth started another project by the name of Aryan Terrorism .
