Nopal
Nopales are a vegetable, made from the young stem segments of prickly pear, carefully peeled to remove the spines.
Nopales have a light, slightly tart flavor. Their texture is crisp and mucilaginous.
Nopales are rich in soluble fiber and Vitamin C, and also provide calcium.
