North Yamhill River
The North Yamhill River is a tributary of the Yamhill River, approximately 25 mi (40 km) long, in northwest Oregon in the United States. It drains an area of the Coastal Range, as well as part of the Willamette Valley west of the Willamette River.
It rises in a remote area in the mountains of northwestern Yamhill County and flows generally southeast, past the town of Yamhill, then south. It joins the South Yamhill approximately 2 mi (3.2 km) east of McMinnville to form the Yamhill.
The lower valley of the river provides an especially fertile region, with many orchards and wineries.
