Oceanium
The Oceanium, officially opened in 2001, is a massive aquarium. Its construction was the biggest project to date in the Blijdorp , Netherlands zoo.
The Oceanium lies in the expansion area of the zoo, which includes a new entrance and parking area. The area around the Oceanium will be home to projects depicting the the Americas.
The Oceanium is also home to scientific research into the conservation of coral.
